Our project focused on the design and development of a platform to manage the EV charging infrastructure under the paradigm of electromobility within a Smart-City ecosystem. It contributed to providing a comprehensive, efficient, and sustainable model to implement charging infrastructures in cities.
Our solution incorporates the services and benefits of ICT and digital computing to infrastructure characterised by a bidirectional flow of energy and information through equipment and sensors installed in the network. It has an open and FI-WARE compatible platform, capable of offering a complete service to suppliers, maintainers, and users, as well as to those responsible for managing the city.
SAGE-MS is designed to promote sustainability and protect the environment by facilitating agile traffic management, incorporating the concept of “multimodal charging.” Under this concept, any charger can be integrated into the system, offering both direct electricity sales systems to vehicle users and management systems for charger owners. It also provides detailed usage information to effectively control charging points distributed throughout the city.
